Strategic Partnerships

Progress through partnership! Thank you to our strategic partners.

Location

Nestled in the Eagle foothills, the 80-acre lot, just off Highway 16 at N. Pollard Lane, is the future home of a full-service athletic park that will provide recreational opportunities for the community and serve as a hub for regional tournaments.

About

The construction of the park will be done in multiple phases. On October 6, 2023, the City broke ground and began working on Phase 1.

Key features of Phase 1 include:

  • Four natural grass baseball/softball diamonds
  • Dugouts
  • Paved Access Road
  • Parking

The future phases will be established upon donation accrual. More information to come about future phases.

Get Involved

Individuals, businesses, and community organizations can make monetary or in-kind contributions. Marketing sponsorships are available and can be curated to meet specific needs and opportunities. The City offers multiple recognition options. Every donor name, unless they choose to remain anonymous, will be posted in our “Hall of Fame”. No gift is too small. Donors may deduct contributions as provided in IRS Publication 526, Charitable Contributions of the U.S. Tax Code.

Completed Work

As of Fall 2023, and through a generous partnership with the Valnova Development, several key components of Phase 1 have been completed, laying a strong foundation for further development. These include:

  • Land Acquisition: The 80 acres for the Eagle Regional Athletic Park have been successfully acquired.
  • Preliminary Grading for Four Baseball/Softball Fields: Site preparation for the ball fields has been completed, allowing for smoother progress.
  • Highway 16 and Park Access Improvements: Improvements to Highway 16, including the addition of acceleration and deceleration lanes. Construction of a park access road with curb and gutter, along with designated parking and striping.
  • Underground Utilities: Conduit for future under grounding of electrical, fiber, and natural gas infrastructure has been installed for Phase 1. This ensures seamless future development and park functionality. Sewer and water are ready for installation with field construction.

The Impact on our Community

The Eagle Regional Athletic Park will serve as a transformative space for the community by addressing key needs such as:

  • Alleviate Shortage of Sports Fields and Courts
  • Create Multi-Generational Space to Build a Sense of Community
  • A Premier Hub to Host Regional Tournaments
  • Promotes Health and Wellness
